Our ProcessEntry Process and Requirements for Pet Hotel (overnight boarding)

Let’s Get to Know Your Dog

We would like to get to know your dog before he/she stays overnight for any length of time.

If your dog has never stayed with us or if it’s been over 6 months since his/her last visit, a daycare day is required before boarding.

We want to give your dog a great first impression!

We recommend having your dog attend at least one daycare day a month, year round ,to make overnight boarding an easy transition.

Plan Ahead

We recommend booking at least 5 weeks in advance.

Pack extra food and do not change your dog’s food before boarding.

Stock up on medication (if your pet requires it).

Notify your emergency contact from your profile to let them know when your pet is going to be at Shannoncourt.  Make sure they are available during that time.

Notify your veterinarian that your pet will be boarding at Shannoncourt and add your emergency contact name to your file at the veterinarian’s.

Make sure your vaccines are up to date at least ten days before boarding.

What Should I Bring?

Please bring your pet’s food in an easy to carry bin or bag. Label the food with your last name, your pet’s name, the amount of food in cups per feeding, the amount of feedings per day. We feed two times per day unless otherwise requested. Add all instructions including if wet food is mixed in or treats to the food label. Please bring treats for your dog if he/she is allowed treats! Put the treats in the same bin as the food. Label treats as well.
We will provide comfy bedding and toys. We do not accept these items from home because we have a strict cleaning protocol.
Please bring medication in their original containers from the veterinarian. Make sure the instructions are clear and that they have not changed.

Upon Arrival- New protocol due to Covid-19

When you arrive in our parking lot, please text 613 5777185. Let us know you are here with your pet, please use your pet’s name in the text.
We will come out to the car to greet you!
We will answer any questions you might have, confirm any additional service requests and then we will bring your dog into our building for a fun day of activities.
Our goal is to make your pet's stay with us an enjoyable one and to exceed your expectations!
